ALGUEIRA RISCO is a wine made entirely from the native Merenzao grape variety, sourced from different vineyard plots with southwest orientations. Depending on the year, it may include some whole-cluster pressed grapes. The wine undergoes brief maceration and is aged in French oak barrels (225 liters) for approximately 12 months. This wine's finesse is evident from the start, displaying a light cherry color. It offers aromas of pomace, cherry, and cherry liqueur with noticeable balsamic notes of cedar and nutmeg. On the palate, its aromatic delicacy belies a well-balanced, almost silky texture, with very ripe tannins and a crisp finish.
